E-Pustakalaya Demonstration held in Biratnagar

With the motive to provide information regarding the E-Pustakalaya outside the Kathmandu valley OLE Nepal has been organizing the E-Pustakalaya demonstration and interaction program in different parts of the country. This time it was organized in Kanchanjunga Seminar hall in Biratnagar from 27 June, 2014 after the completion of the writers workshop. This program was locally coordinated by Vani publication and the guest of honor in the event was Professor Bal Krishna Pokhrel.  The event was attended by 60 participants.

Prof. Mr. Bal Krishna Pokhrel shared few of his words about how E-Pustakalaya acts as a bridge between the readers and the writers by digitizing the books so that they can be easily accessible to the people by the use of internet. The books and other activities such as E-Path, videos, audio books, openstreetmap and many other contents of the offline E-Pustakalaya server was also demonstrated in the program. Few of the local schools representatives also showed a keen interest in installing E-Pustakalaya in their schools and they were interested in knowing about the total cost of installation. In addition to all the interest few of the writers who were present in the program were curious about how they can contribute their books in the pustakalaya.
